Best Car Ever
"I love this car so much! I now have 157K miles on it. This is my first Mercedes, but it won't be my last if I ever have to buy another car."

I would have preferred real leather seats, but the seats are nice looking and very comfortable. Controls are placed perfectly for my hands and feet.

I've had some rust issues with the bottoms of the doors. Considering that I've owned the car for ten years, and I live in the Midwest where we have salted roads in winter, I suppose I can expect some rust on any car.

This car handles better than any other car I've ever driven. It does not feel like a boat around corners, and it accelerates nicely. It's especially effective in snow.

It's a four door, which is nice, but the back seat is too small for my now pre-teen grandkids.

Maintenance is very expensive, but I rarely need any other repairs apart from the A and B services.

Solid Value
"This car has held up well for being 2006 model year. My W203 is black with a light sand color interior. It is a pleasure to drive with solid performance, and a comfortable ride. I have been lucky that this car has proven very reliable. Even after a few years of ownership, this car makes me smile when I get to drive it."

Solid car!
"Bought this car for my wife 10 months ago. Under 85,000 miles for $4,800, in really good condition. For less then an equivalent Honda or Toyota, I think that is a screaming bargain. Feels really good on the road and gets 30 MPG all day long. "

Well appointed but the headliner is sagging. Typical for these cars... Leather seats are still in "as new" condition. The car is nearly 14 years old and I think the seats, dash, door cards and carpets are in exceptional condition for its age. Fortunately, the previous owner took very good care of the cosmetics.

Great paint and trim. All in all, well made. We had to have the hood re-sprayed, due to sun fading but overall the paint and bodywork and all of the lights are near perfect.

This is not a performance car like my Porsche but it does move along smartly. The 3 liter V-6 has adequate power and the 7 speed automatic is smooth and has two shift modes, sport and comfort. It can also be shifted manually in sport mode. Handling on our Hawaiian mountain roads is really quite good for such a big, heavy car and the brakes are excellent.

I would say yes to that but it's basically just my wife and me and an occasional friend.

For us, the Mercedes is very cost effective but others my be put off by the very expensive maintenance required. I'm able to perform all of the maintenance and any required repairs myself, however so far nothing's failed. The average 30 MPG is a plus but premium gas is required.
