Is the 2010 BMW 3 Series Right for You?
What Is It & Who Is It For?
The 2010 BMW 3 Series is a sporty car that comes in four body styles. There’s a two-door coupe, four-door sedan, convertible, or sport wagon. No matter which you choose, this is a small, performance car meant for driving enthusiasts. Choices include rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), and diesel or gas engines.
What Makes It Unique?
There are lots of sports cars out there, but few have the number of choices offered by the BMW 3 Series. Whether you want a sleek coupe or the family-friendly sport wagon, there’s a 3 Series that fits your needs.
3 Series vs. Other BMWs
In BMW’s sedan lineup, the midsize 3 Series sits between the more compact 2 Series and larger 4 Series. All three have a performance-oriented drive, with the biggest difference being the amount of room for passengers.
BMW 3 Series vs. Competition
Sports cars aren’t as popular as SUVs these days, but there are still plenty of contenders from which to choose:
The 2010 3 Series was the last model year before a new generation was introduced in 2011. That means any 3 Series from 2006 to 2010 will have similar features. You could save money by choosing an older model year within that time span.
We recommend the 328i. It provides the driving dynamics and responsive engine of a performance car and has a comfortable and well-equipped interior. While the 335i has more luxury features, those features come with a large price increase.

"Fantastic car. Oodles of torque, comfortable, great economy for a sport sedan.
Emissions system (SCR) is a known problem- covered under extended BMW, Federal and California state emissions equipment warranty. But can be a pain to fix and troubleshoot."
"This car has been excellent. We have not made any major repairs in the 10 years since purchased it. The twin turbo 6 makes it a very fun car to drive." Read Less
