The 2019 Maserati Levante boasts all the luxury you’d expect from this iconic automaker. It has sumptuous styling, a well-appointed cabin, improved engine management and a growling exhaust. The Levante is a midsize luxury SUV that seats five. Maserati offers Levante in four trim levels. A twin-turbo V6 engine powers the Levante and the Levante S. The new top-end Levante GTS and Trofeo grades are each equipped with a new 3.8-liter twin turbo V8. All models have eight-speed automatic transmissions.
Both the GTS and the Trofeo trim levels are new for 2019, as is their V8. Adaptive LED Matrix headlights are available for the first time in Levante. A new gearshift lever is more intuitive. Another change is that the V8 versions ride on a re-tuned sport chassis.

Standard equipment includes Bi-Xenon headlights, an electric grille air shutter and heated outboard mirrors with integrated turn signals. Other standard equipment includes a power liftgate, chrome tips for the dual exhaust system and automatic high-beam assist.
Soft-close doors, roof rails, panoramic roofs, and a rear spoiler are among the options on lower trim levels. They are standard on higher trim levels.
The V6 models have 19-inch alloy wheels. The Levante GTS has 20-inch alloy wheels. The Trofeo is equipped with 22-inch alloy wheels.
There’s a lot to love about the cabin including leather seating and a leather-wrapped dashboard. Levante and Levante S offer several trims including Base, GranSport and GranLusso. The trim levels feature various levels of leather and accent materials. There is plenty of room for the passengers; although, at just over of 20 cubic-feet, cargo space is on the smaller side.
Every Levante comes with dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and overhead console.
A sunshade, adjustable pedals, carbon fiber accents, two memory settings for the driver’s seat, outboard mirrors, and a heated steering wheel are among the options or standard on upgraded trim levels.
The Levante and Levante S are powered by the 3.0-liter twin turbo V6. In the Levante it generates 345 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
The Levante S has a V6, that pumps out 424 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque. Fuel economy in both V6 versions is a government-estimated 15/21 mpg city/highway.
A new Ferrari-influenced 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 powers both the Levante GTS and Levante Trofeo. It delivers 550 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque in the GTS. In the Trofeo. The V8 expends 590 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque.
As with the V6, both versions of the V8 post identical government-estimated mileage of 14/18 mpg city/highway.
Both engines have eight-speed automatic transmissions.
Maserati reported the Trofeo moves from a stop to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. As you’d expect, the Levante has responsive handling and delivers a smooth ride. Its adaptive Air Spring suspension can be set to one of several sport modes.
The Levante offers plentiful connectivity and infotainment system technology. You control several systems with the touchscreen that responds to swipes and pinches just like a tablet.
Navigation is standard. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and an eight-speaker audio system are all standard.
Audio upgrades include a 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system and a Bowers & Wilkins Premium Surround-Sound System. The Levante has four 12-volt power outlets and three USB ports.
Levante also offers an array of standard safety and driver-assist technologies including automatic high-beam assist, a rearview camera, blind spot monitoring, rain-sensing wipers and front and rear parking sensors.
Available safety technologies include adaptive cruise control, front cameras and directionally adaptive headlights.
